No, I made those with oil pastels. I used two layers; a yellow one on the bottom, a black one at the top (and for the couch, a brown layer on a yellow layer). After that, I scratched away the top layer with a small knife.
Wow that's so cool! And what a coïncidence; I was just telling about that method yesterday, because once in school we had to do that. It's great to see someone is making that technique her own. Very beautiful work!
: ) it is! the school thing is almost fifteen years ago, but i still remember liking it (and even what i made out of it), so it made quite an impression! when did you think of using that technique for your work?
That was not too long ago, I think somewhere at the beginning of 2008. I used to draw a lot with pens then, but at that moment I got fed up with the results. I don't know for sure why I tried oil pastels after that, I think I remembered having a small amount of them and I just tried them out. After that, I began to like the technique so I continued using them.
